Sienna's North Shore and Record Store Senior Session in Pittsburgh

Let's start with everything that went right for Sienna's session: the rain held off until we were finished shooting and created such a fun dramatic sky, she had outfits and locations that represented who she is perfectly, and the photos are beautiful!

What went wrong: my navigation skills. You'd think after so many years of doing this, I'd know my way around a parking garage on the North Shore. I got out of the car, grabbed my gear, and saw it was a 20 minute walk to the bridge. I sighed and immediately put my gear back in the car to move closer. I literally drove past Sienna and her mom and dad on my way to a closer garage. (Face-palm.)

Once I was parked and had met up with them, everything was great! We started out by using the riverwalk around PNC park and the surrounding area. A lot of seniors have been bringing some childhood favorite toys/stuffed animals to include lately, so Sienna included Huskers in a few images as well.

Then we walked onto the bridge for some fun shots. The wind was non-stop this day, especially on the bridge! I love the flowers the city has out for the summer in these hanging baskets. Pittsburgh is such a pretty city.

Then we skipped over to Jerry's Records in Squirrel Hill for the second half of the shoot! (My navigation skills were back in working order and I arrived just fine.)

Sienna brought a handful of her favorite records with her and Jerry's Records so kindly let us do whatever we pleased! On the way out, I actually bought two records for my husband. Jerry's is a very cool spot if you've never been. Do you ever walk into a space and see someone relax into their environment? You could just tell Sienna was in her element.

It was a lot of fun to stretch my creative muscles being in a new space...I haven't had a senior choose a record store before! I love when my clients allow themselves to be themselves! Every senior session I do is done with the specific senior's interests in mind, and I'm always trying to capture authenticity.

Congratulations to Burgettstown High School senior Sienna! I hope you have an incredible senior year!
