A Friday wedding with the sweetest people, the perfect timeline, and beautiful weather -- what more could a girl ask for?!
Ashley and Ed are currently road-tripping across the Pacific West Coast, and their Instagram stories are just beautiful. So while they're still climbing mountains, I wanted to share their day! I went to the Renaissance Hotel to meet Ashley, and then we headed off to meet Ed for a first look and photos around the cultural district/Point Park.
Ashley and I strolled around, trying to find the best way to meet Ed while workers were preparing to put the Christmas tree up downtown. I just love walking through the city with a bride-- everyone was so nice, congratulating her as we passed by. I had to crack up when we finally found Ed. He was sweating, because he ran there from the parking garage. He thought we saw us ahead of him (he didn't) and he took off so he wouldn't be late. I can just imagine the people he passed thinking he was a runaway groom.
I love that we captured Ashley wiping the sweat off of his face before we found out what had happened! So funny. And then we had to move Ed's flower down because it was nearly touching his chin (Sorry Ed-- I have to pick on you a little bit hehe )
Then we had a ton of extra time to walk around and take photos! Ashley made the perfect timeline for us to just have fun strolling around. The weather was too perfect to be real, so I'm just going to share a bunch of the photos for you all to see. Don't they look like they belong in a magazine? <3
Ashley also mentioned that her dress came from Lulu's and her flowers were Sam's Club flowers-- has everyone known about Sam Club's beautiful flowers and been keeping it from me? Because woah. Stunning! I'm totally checking out Lulu's for my own reception next year!
We headed off to meet their wedding party and grab some group shots! Ashley had one bridesmaid and Ed had two groomsmen, plus their officiate was one of their best friends.
And then the exciting part -- saying "I Do!" We were at Olive or Twist (my literature lovin' heart couldn't get over the name) and it was one of the coolest ceremony locations we've been to yet. Ashley was standing at the alter when she realized she forgot to bring her vows with her, so she just went for it -- and did amazing. Ed did remember to bring his to alter, and they were equally as beautiful.
After doing family formals at the ceremony location, it was time to get to it! Ed's dad gave a speech that didn't leave a dry eye in the building, and Ashley dropped her glass giving him a hug after. "Mozel Tov!" she yelled. This group kept me laughing all night. And the first dances just about killed me. So. Stinking. Cute.
And they partied the night away! Mr. and Mrs. Tomcik, everyone! Thank you guys so much for including me in your day.
